Dr. Myriam Glavash is a board-certified pediatric dentist at one of the largest private pediatric practices in the state of Texas. She has been practicing for 10 years and works largely with children in rural underserved areas with extensive needs. She is also involved locally in the South Plains Dental District Society serving as their community affairs chair.
Osaivbie, a former DIDM PR Intern and Mentee is now pursuing her Dental Surgery Degree (D.D.S.) at The University of Texas School of Dentistry at Houston!
Ursula is a passionate advocate for equity in oral health and a research assistant at the University of Alberta’s Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry. As a former pre-dental DIDM mentee, she holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Alberta’s Augustana Campus. She believes that inclusive, community-centered policy is essential to addressing the systemic health inequities that persist today, an outlook that directly informs her current research. In addition to her academic work, she serves on the Black Youth Advisory Committee for the national initiative Transforming the Lives of Black Children and Youth in Canada, where she helps identify key challenges and advocates for solutions that address the diverse needs of Black youth across the country.
